Road Safety Course

Road Safety Course, "Pedals training", on Monday 1st April, Tuesday 2nd April and Thursday 3rd April 2019

We are pleased that we have been able to organise for Year 2 to do a Road Safety Course – Pedals training. The course is aimed at children who have a bicycle (which they must be able to ride either with or without stabilisers); a tricycle; or a scooter. However children, who don’t have one of the above, are most welcome to attend on foot.

The aims of the course are for them to be able to:

  • Learn how to start, travel along and stop.
  • Explain how wearing a tabard and helmet can improve safety.
  • Stop, look and listen before crossing the road in a simulated traffic environment in the playground.

The course will run for 2 days, with each child taking part in 1 session (lasting 1 hour) and will take place in the playground. The courses will run at 9.30 am and 11 am on each of the three day.  Once we know who is participating, we will issue you with the day and time that your child has been allocated.

The cost of the course is £5.00 per child.
