This week Reception have been focusing on London, linking to our Power of Reading text ‘The Naughty Bus’! On Monday, we brought some photos into school to talk about the different landmarks that we have visited with our families.

Isla: “I went to London and we went on the London eye. People go round on it and they see all of London.”

Aiden: “I went on the train to London to London Zoo!”

Chloe: “I went on the London Eye! I was looking at the Queen’s palace with flags on!”

Ethan - "I went to London and I saw a funny looking bench."

We continued with the London theme through our free flow activities. For example, when outside, the children thought it would be a great idea to build Tower Bridge with our big blocks! The children also drew some fantastic pictures of the different landmarks too!

Ash class painted the background for their London landscape pictures and then drew around templates of some of the landmarks we have been learning about including, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Gherkin. They then cut them out and stuck them on their pictures. They look amazing! What a fun week Reception!
